2 Gossip Girl stills from Episode 3.18 – “The Unblairable Lightness of Being” have been added to the gallery along with one photo of Ed Westwick on the set of his new movie The Chalet Girl in Austria. It was found on twitter, and I’m not sure the exact date that it was taken – only that it was taken in the month of March Enjoy!

Laura Harring, who plays Chuck Bass’s ”mother” in this season’s episodes of Gossip Girl mentions Ed Westwick in her latest interview.

PW: OK, but come on Laura — even if you laid it all out on the table, that movie still would not make sense!
Laura: [laughs] Well, I’m going to tell David you said that because it’s exactly what he was going for. I’ve been lucky to work with masterful writers. I’ve been blessed to have worked with amazing people, and now a whole new generation of actors. I couldn’t believe the depth of Ed Westwick, and the mystery he carries, very cool to see.

PW: You two have amazing chemistry also.
Laura: You can’t fabricate that. It just happens. It’s one of those things in life that you have to hope to have. You can’t make it happen. And I’ve been lucky to attract people I have good chemistry with.

Since Gossip Girl is airing TONIGHT in Canada, I decided to put the discussion post up a day early!! You can discuss/re-cap what happens in the episode within the comments. Nicholas Braun, who stars in the ABC Family show, 10 Things I Hate About You, just did an interview the other day in which he mentions Ed Westwick, and acting in The Chalet Girl, which Ed is filming now in Austria. Below is the part that Ed is mentioned.

JJJ: Nick, tell us about your new project.

NB: I’m in Austria shooting this really cool movie called Chalet Girl, and it’s this sweet little romantic comedy. I play a guy named Nigel who is sort of a goofy American boy, 21, sort of the type of guy that just wants to get laid, but has no tact. And it’s really fun. I’m actually working with the director of a few episodes of 10 Things, this guy, Phil Traill. And Ed Westwick is starring in it and Bill Nighy, a really well-known English guy, so it’s fun. I’m working with all British people. It’s been interesting.

Here’s an article about Ed’s new movie The Chalet Girl, which is now filming in Austria!

​This week our friends at PowderRoom.net (“for girls who know snow”) are pointing to news of a new Hollywood snowsploitation flick based on the 2007 novel The Chalet Girl: Falling In Love Can Be a Slippery Slope, the first book in the Little Black Dress romance series by author Kate Lace. 

The romantic comedy will star Felicity Jones, Ed Westwick, Tamsin Egerton, Christine Baranski, and Bill Nighy, with (cameos? stunts?) appearances by pro snowboarder Tara Dakides and 2010 Olympic gold medalist Torah Bright.

Hollywood Reporter has some more details:

“Billed as a romantic comedy, the story details the story of a young girl from a working class suburb who lands a job in an ultra-glam ski resort, where she’s totally out of her depth until she discovers her natural snowboarding genius — and the boss’s gorgeous son.”

We don’t imagine Bright will be picking up any Golden Globes for this one, to go with her gold medal, but we’re always up for some big-screen snowboarding action and a good laugh at mainstream stabs at appropriating action sports. And, in the meantime, we’re looking forward to the more legitimate snowboard action in the Snowmass superpipe on April 3 for Gretchen Bleiler’s CoverGirl Snow Angels Invitational.

UPDATE: Westwick’s rep, Carrie Gordon, tells E! News, “There is absolutely no truth” to the diner’s story.

It’s one thing to throw a dinner party at a New York restaurant. It’s another thing to document it, especially if Ed Westwick is eating nearby.

The Gossip Girl hottie hit Los Feliz for dinner recently and wigged out when nearby patrons began snapping photos of their own gathering, according to the New York Daily News “Gatecrasher” column.

“Ed came over and was like, ‘Stop taking my picture!’” the diner tells the newspaper. “He started shouting obscenities at me and getting in my face…I thought it was a joke.”

After Ed retreated, the guy was unsatisfied and approached the actor for the last word.

“I went over to him and asked him who he thought he was and he dissolved into a fit of rage,” he says.

The unnamed diner reportedly returned to his table and resumed his snapping. A little while later, however, the manager came over and gave the guy the boot, supposedly at Ed’s request.

“Ed was snickering in the corner because the people he was with had told the staff that I was paparazzi,” the man says. “So I paid my bill and left.”

Westwick’s rep confirmed to the paper that he was there—no word on whether gal-pal Jessica Szohr was with him—but said “there was no altercation.”

Also, as far as the New York Daily bringing up a “fight” between Ed and Toby Hemingway – if you remember, Ed Westwick addressed this rumor in an interview with Homme Magazine, which we have the transcript of on our Interview Transcripts Page, in which he completely shot the rumor down. See below:

“I was in Los Angeles this past weekend and apparently it’s all over the Internet that I was in a bar brawl,” he says, clearly annoyed. “I am on the phone with my mother earlier and she said, ‘I hear you have been fighting.’ And it simply isn’t true. I was fooling around, having fun with a friend and all of a sudden that gets turned into me being choked in a bar brawl. To make matters worse, we land in New York and – bam! – TMZ is waiting for me at the airport to find out about my fight. It’s The Truman Show in your own life. Unbelievable.”

It’s quite obvious what this person who “reported” this supposed altercation is trying to do here. I hope the rest of you don’t believe this garbage either.
